Benefits of Online Exhibitions
Professionalism
Exhibiting your work on an established gallery’s website is a great way to have your work seen. Being in a professional exhibition allows you to expand your CV.
Artist Focused
At Sims Contemporary, we think it is important that artists keep 100% of the sell on our website.
The only fee is a one-time charge to apply to the open calls. This fee is an administrative charge which supports the website and advertisements.
Audience Reach
Showcasing in our online exhibition allows your work to be seen by national and international artists and collectors.

As well promotional content, such as emails and use of social media, will help boost the amount of eyes on your work.
Submission Requirements
Artist must have at least three years of experience showing their work in public spaces [must submit CV with your submissions]; the ability to process credit card payments; and ship their artwork to buyers.

To submit, pay a $45 submission fee which allows you to submit 3 high-resolution images (300dpi + file size under 10 MB). All medium types are welcome except for video media.

If selected, one of the three images will be chosen to be displayed in the exhibition. Works must be for sale
Also, you will be required to submit the following:

-Artist Statement (150ish word limit)
and CV
-Email address*
-Phone number
-Mailing Address
-Social media handle(s)
-Images of Artwork(s)
+ title, media type, size, price, year

*Collectors will contact you directly through your email or your socials—not through us, the gallery.
If You are Selected
If chosen for the online exhibition, your work will be in the online exhibition for one month. The gallery will charge zero commission on sales. The artist handles sales and shipping of artwork.
As the artist, you can set your own prices and how you handle shipping charges (whether it is included in the price or if it is an additional charge to the buyer)
Perks and Promotionals
The Gallery will do eight total promotionals (2 email blasts [to our extensive email list] and 6 social media posts/stories) within the duration of the online exhibition.
You can pay an additional $95 to be in the month’s viewing room on Artsy.net—which has national and international collectors. The artist will be responsible for shipping sold artworks.*

Once the gallery receives payment from Artsy.net and the collector is satisfied, We (the gallery) will send the Artist a check for the sale minus the 5% commission that Artsy takes on all sales.**
*Payment from collectors has to be processed through Artsy per their guidelines. We (the gallery) will receive the check from Artsy, which will then be forwarded to the Artist.

Things to Know as the Artist
Artists are responsible for the packing and shipping costs. The gallery will not be responsible for any damages that may occur during shipment.

You can set your prices and how you handle shipping charges (whether it is included in the price or if it is an additional charge to the buyer)
Any artwork sold* from Artsy.net will be paid to the artist once the collector receives the artwork and is satisfied.**

All artworks, picked by the gallery, are exclusive to the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. The artist cannot sell the artwork through any other platform while being displayed through any channels of the gallery.
Terms & Conditions
By submitting your art data in this "Opportunity" organized by Sims Contemporary ("Organizer") and promoted by Sims Contemporary, you as "Artist," are bound by the following terms:
Fees
- All fees are non-refundable.
Continuity
- Organizers' team will do their best to run this Opportunity, however, they neither guarantee any level of exposure or sales via this Opportunity nor are they responsible for paying any damages claimed by artists or third-parties.
- This art Opportunity is provided to you 'as is' and 'as available' without any representation, warranties, or conditions of any kind.
Discrepancies
- Artist is solely responsible for all the discrepancies due to a complaint from a third-party concerning this Opportunity.
Indemnification
As an artist, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sims Contemporary and its employees and directors from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

Copyrights
According to United States law, Artist retains copyrights of their work.
By submitting to this opportunity, Artist grants her/his unconditional acceptance and permission for the use of her/his personal and artwork's image and data by Sims Contemporary, cooperative service providers, and third-parties, and allow publication and circulation of her/his provided materials and information in all advertising and promotional media both in print and digital.​
Artwork Originality
- All artworks provided by Artist should be original and created by the Artist without any supervision.
- By submitting to this Opportunity, Artist declares her/his artwork is not a copy, derivative or based on the work of others or in any way an infringement of copyright.
- Artworks that, in reasonable view of Sims Contemporary, include porn, racial and religious hatred content are not admissible.
Language
- All information and communications will be in English.
- In case of any discrepancies, the English language will be considered as the source.
Information
- The artist is responsible for providing all the necessary information for this Opportunity.
- All provided information by the Artist should be genuine and accurate.
- Artists should immediately inform Sims Contemporary of any changes in her/his artistic data.
