This painting is part of Sonya Sklaroff’s Pandemic Paintings Series. It depicts a large clock in the sky shaped like a moon, with scrambled numbers bursting into the air and the city on fire below. Created during the pandemic lockdown, it reflects the profound disorientation and devastation of that period, when keeping track of time became an almost impossible task.
